Ken Mattis

Ken and his wife, Allison, came to the Plateau in 2005 when he accepted the position of Head Golf Professional at Highlands Country Club.  They lived in Sapphire, NC for 13 years before moving to Highlands in 2017.  Ken and Allison have two daughters, Georgia (18) and Sloan (15), both are students at Rabun Gap Nacoochee School in Dillard, GA.  Ken’s career in golf began at Capital City CC in Tallahassee, FL while attending Florida State University.  Before arriving in Highlands, he worked in Snowmass, CO, Williamsburg, VA, and Raleigh, NC.  Ken served from 2011-2015 on the Mountains Chapter PGA Board and received the Mountains Chapter PGA Golf Professional of the Year Award in 2016.  After enrolling our oldest daughter, Georgia, in Cashiers Valley Preschool at the age of 4, he was asked to join the CVP Board.  Ken became President of the Board prior to moving into the current facility on Cashiers School Road in 2012.
