Colleen Kerrigan

Colleen is the former owner of The Business Spot – a business she started in 2014 and which continues today to be a benefit to the Highlands community under the direction of Leslie Cook. She has been visiting Highlands since the 1970’s when she would visit from her hometown of New Orleans with her family.

She currently works at the Highlands Chamber of Commerce part time as the Member Services Director and will soon be joining the Real Estate community after taking her Exam. Other local entities that she currently serves on committees for are the Highlands Community Foundation Fund and on the Advisory Committee for the Highlands-Cashiers Hospital.

Prior to moving to Highlands full time in 2014, she was living in Nashville, TN where she was a Real Estate agent. While living in Nashville for 20 years, she was involved in various charity organizations and fund-raising events. These include the TN State Museum, where she served on the Board. Other organizations that she was involved with – either as a Board member or having taken part in fund-raising events were: the annual charitable Wine Auction which raises money for the American Cancer Society, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, and the Nashville Library.

Photography, travel, and walks with her dogs are what she enjoys most. She lives full time in Highlands and can often be seen around town with her camera in hand.
