A native of Avon Park, Florida, Lindy Harrison graduated from the University of Florida and then relocated to Miami, where she spent the spent most of her adult life. While in Miami, she worked as a buyer for a large department store, sold residential real estate and was deeply involved with several nonprofits. For the past fifteen years, Lindy has been actively involved with the Cullasaja Women’s Outreach Committee (CWO), serving as one of its chairmen for much of that time. She also serves on The Highlands Biological Foundation Board and its Executive Committee. Lindy began spending summers in Highlands in the 1980’s and now enjoys residing here for six months of the year.
