Health Foundation Announces 2025 LIFT Grant Cycle

The Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation (the Health Foundation) has announced the start of its 2025 LIFT Grant cycle. The Health Foundation’s LIFT Grants will support and fund programs that focus on one or more of their three strategic priorities: Access to Primary Care, Access to Behavioral Health, and the Well-being of Infants, Children, and Adolescents.

ACCESS TO PRIMARY CARE

Projects, programs, and services that expand access and remove barriers to primary health care, leading to measurable improvements in positive health outcomes for people of all ages and backgrounds.

ACCESS TO BEHAVIORAL HEALTH

Behavioral health and substance use issues are increasing in our community, and we are especially interested in supporting projects, programs, and services that effectively improve access to these critical services.

WELL-BEING OF INFANTS, CHILDREN & ADOLESCENTS

Projects, programs, and services that support initiatives and organizations promoting the health and well-being of our young people, ensuring they have the resources and care needed to thrive and reach their full potential.

The Health Foundation has awarded 153 grants totaling $10.2 million to 88 organizations since February 1, 2019. The 2025 LIFT Grant cycle will continue to support transformative programs that align with the mission to enhance the health and well-being of everyone in our communities.

In 2024, the Health Foundation demonstrated its dedication to supporting organizations that improve community health and well-being. Through strategic partnerships, the Health Foundation provided essential funding for initiatives such as nurse family partnerships for first-time mothers, resources for survivors of abuse, access to colorectal screenings, dental care access, relief and recovery services for those affected by Hurricane Helene, support of primary care on the Plateau provided by Blue Ridge Health-Highlands Cashiers, and many more. These investments not only improve access to vital healthcare services but also enhance the overall health and well-being of everyone, helping to build healthier and more resilient communities.

The Pre-Application period for the LIFT Grant cycle will end on July 30 at 5:00 p.m. Invitations to complete full applications will follow, with grant awards anticipated in November. For more information about the full grant process and schedule, or if your organization is interested in submitting a pre-application to start the grant process, please visit the Health Foundation’s grant website here.
