Rick Trevathan

Rick Trevathan is a native of Houston, Texas. He graduated from the University of Houston, majoring in English and was accepted to law school. He chose, instead, to join the United States Marine Corps. Rick served as a rifle platoon commander in Vietnam and was awarded the Bronze Star with Combat ā€œVā€ for valor in combat. After being discharged, he attended law school at the University of Houston. Rick served as an Assistant District Attorney and State District Court judge in Houston prior to going into private practice. He served as President of the Houston Bar Association and as a Director for the State Bar of Texas.

Rick and his family moved to Highlands in 2005. After moving to Highlands, Rick has served the community. He served as President of the Rotary Club of Highlands, President of the Board of Directors of the Highlands Performing Arts Center, as a member of the Highlands Town Planning Board and as a member of the Board of Directors for the ABC Store, a position he still holds. Rick previously served as a Community Advisor for the Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation. Rick and Cindy have four children and are members of First Presbyterian Church.
