Dr. Fiebelman was raised in Vicksburg, Mississippi and attended the University of Mississippi, Ole Miss, followed by the University of Mississippi Medical School in Jackson, MS. After receiving his MD he moved to San Franciso, CA for a residency in Family Medicine. He practiced as a Family Practice doctor in Andalusia, AL for 9 years. During this time, he met his wife Mary Evelyn Palmer, a physical therapist. He also developed a sincere interest in Mental Health and moved to Lexington, KY for residencies in Adult/General/Psychiatry/Neurology. This was followed by a Fellowship (Residency) in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry. Dr. Fiebelman has always enjoyed working with children, thus after two Psychiatry residencies, he moved to London England for a fellowship in Pediatrics at the Hospital for sick children Great Ormond St. He moved back to the US and practiced in Macon, GA for 36 years. He was the Medical Director for River Edge Mental Health Center, Crossroad Christian Counseling Center, The Methodist Home for Children and Youth and Charter Lake Psychiatric Hospital. He has also served on many boards and task forces around mental health.
