Overview

The Highlands Cashiers Health Foundation (HCHF) is seeking a talented and mission-driven Communications and Development Coordinator to join its team in advancing health and well-being across western North Carolina. This position will play a key role in sharing the Foundation’s story, engaging the community, and supporting fundraising efforts that strengthen access to healthcare and promote wellness throughout the Highlands-Cashiers region. The Communications and Development Coordinator will manage social media, newsletters, press outreach, and print materials, as well as assist with donor communications and special events. The ideal candidate will have strong writing and organizational skills, experience in marketing or nonprofit development, and a genuine passion for improving community health.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage content for social media, newsletters, website, and print materials.
  • Coordinate press releases, media outreach, and community engagement.
  • Support fundraising campaigns, donor communications, and events.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in communications, marketing, or nonprofit management.
  • 3 years of related experience preferred.
  • Strong writing, organizational, and digital media skills.
  • Passion for community health and wellness.
  • Fundraising experience a plus
