This is Highlands School with an important update for free meals from Highlands School.
In addition to the availability of meals for pick up at Highlands School between 11:00 and 1:00, beginning tomorrow, Wednesday, March 18th, we will run a bus on routes 105 and 101. The bus will stop at the normal bus stops on those routes to give out the free breakfast and lunches for the home of any students.
Our bus will leave Highlands School at 11:00 AM and run the Bus 105 Route first coming back in to Highlands at approximately 12:05, and then run the bus 101 route beginning with the stop at Sassafrass Gap Road at approximately 12:30 and running the route backwards to the last stop at Lost Horse Trail off Buck Creek Road at about 12:25.
If your child doesn’t normally ride the bus and you want to meet the bus at one of the already established stops, please feel free to do so. Please figure the time of the stop to be similar to our delay day schedules, allowing 5-10 minutes either way until we are able to stabilize the routes based on needs.
Again, meals will be available for pick up behind the school from 11:00 to 1:00 and will be delivered by bus beginning at 11:00 to the established bus stops.
Please call us at 526-2147 should you have any questions, or if you would like to let our cafeteria manager know how many meals you would need to have picked up or delivered. Any information would greatly assist us in trying to serve you.
We appreciate your patience as we all try to navigate this unfortunate situation.
